When Claire Clivaz (SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics) and Alain Desreumaux (CNRS, Paris) set out to encode Christo-Palestinian Aramaic into the Unicode standard, they needed a typeface to go with it. We designed and vectorised the 40 characters of CPA-DM alongside the research team — each glyph drawn from historical manuscript sources and submitted as part of Unicode Technical Note no. 52.

The font is open source and available on GitHub. It remains the only digital typeface for this script.
